Search
Name a food. Get calories and a food_id.
Portion
Scale that food to the grams you ate.
Recipe
Total the ingredients, then split per serving.
Barcode
UPC or EAN. A fallback if the catalog misses.
Daily target
Calories from age, weight, and goal.
Photo
You pass image_base64. The chat does not attach it.

Dropping a picture into the chat does not send it. Pass raw base64, no data: prefix. JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 2 MB.

Before you start
Which clients work?
Claude Code and Cursor, with an API key in the X-API-Key header. Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude mobile use browser sign-in once OAuth is enabled on the API.
Does this include the REST API?
No. This plan calls the MCP tools only. REST search, foods, calc, and vision return 403. Account and billing pages still work.
Will I be charged when the trial ends?
Yes, unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancel from the billing page. Annual is $19/month. Monthly is $29. $120 USD Off on annual.
Where do I get the API key?
Dashboard, API keys, after checkout. The full key is shown once, when you create it. It is not emailed. Do not put it in a public repo.
